About us
We want to introduce ourselves and tell you a little bit more about ourselves. I am Tammie Krist, the owner of the shop. I have always had a great passion for home decor and styling. There is nothing more exciting to me than finding unique vintage items, curating a beautiful display & seeing guests get inspired to decorate their own homes.
Owning this shop was a dream of mine for over 20 years... never could I have imagined what we have created. My daughters, Amberly & Staci help run the shop on days that we are open.

Our style is Modern Farmhouse with Vintage Home decor. We also offer curated products from other small business owners.
We are a family owned and operated small business located in Centralia, Wa. & are proudly celebrating our 4 Year Anniversary July 18th.
The story behind the name:
The name french toast & co. MERCANTILE came from a sweet memory as a child. When I was little, my mom would always make me French toast on Saturdays. It was something I looked forward to and it has always been a special moment I remembered from childhood. I continued this tradition with my two girls when they were little, and of course it became their special thing too! Even as they got older it remained the favorite breakfast item to have. Now, my daughters and I make French toast for our sweet Ryan, my grandson. The sweet memory of mine has turned not only into a tradition, but also into a story we can share with our guests, and this is how it we became the the French toast ladies.
